Seedorf raves about KP Boateng form

Ghana international Kevin-Prince Boateng continue to earn full marks in his outing for AC Milan with experienced Dutch star Clarence Seedorf the latest to join in the praise.
The 23-year old Ghanaian international has slotted in well at Milan since a loan move there from Genoa after the 2010 World Cup.

Ghana FA Cup is back

Ghana’s FA Cup will return this season atfer a nine-year absence thanks to sponsorship from continental telecommunations giants MTN.
The Ghana football authorities sealed a three-year sponsorship deal worth US$3m on Tuesday night to revive the highly popular competition which was last played in 2001.
The lucrative sponsorship means all clubs playing in the competition will benefit financially,  the first time in the country’s history.

Caf distance herself from MTN nomination list.

The Confederation of African Football (Caf) has disowned a purported list of players named for the 2010 African Player of Year which was originated by MTNFootball.com.
The publication has seriously infuriated Glo, the sponsors of the event, who are archrivals of MTN in the telecommunications industry in West Africa.
MTNFootball.com, which is owned by South African giants MTN, published on Sunday that 17 players were included in the preliminary list that is dominated by Ghanaians and Ivorians.

Desailly to Work With Locals

A front runner in the fierce race to the vacant Black Stars coaching job, Marcel Desailly, has denied that he has asked for a salary of €100,000 before he accepts to handle the national team.

According to a source very close to the former France Captain and member of the triumphant 1998 World Cup team, Desailly has not talked to anyone about remuneration since he declared his interest in the job left vacant by Serbian Milovan Rajevac.

Athletes and business leaders planning to attend the Commonwealth Games in Delhi have been privately warned to expect terrorist attacks on tourist sites and public spaces across India, the Observer has learned.

After a week in which the Games appeared to be in serious danger of cancellation, some athletes have now started to arrive in Delhi. The first representatives of England arrived on Thursday, while Scottish and Welsh competitors were due to fly in yesterday.
